Jelly Roll Tree Skirt - Appleton
Use up some of those Christmas scraps to make a personalized Tree Skirt. You have 3 sizes to choose from. The clover Tube make for jelly rolls will help you immensely in the construction of this project. You can use precut Jelly roll strips or you can make your own by cutting from yardage. The Fabric strips should measure 2 ½ inches in width and length is WOF (width of fabric).
Supply List:
1.Sewing machine with a zig-zag stitch in GOOD working order. Machine zig zag needs to be at least 5.5 mm in width
2.Jelly Roll Rug tree skirt pattern
a.20 strips for the small (junior jelly roll)
b.40 strips for the medium (1 jelly roll)
c.80 strips for the large (2 jelly roll)
d.1 bosal 25 yard batting on a roll - (width should be 2 ¼”) for small
e.1 bosal 50 yard batting on a roll - for medium
f.2 Bosal 50 yard batting on a roll for the large
g.2 yards of ¾’ ribbon for the ties or you can substitute 2 WOF 2 ½’’ strip of fabric
3.Binding clips
4.Thread - can use cotton or polyester, 40wt. You can use 1 color, several colors, or variegated adds some interest.
5.Rotary cutter & small mat
6.Scissors
7.Basic Sewing supplies
8.Needle - 90/14 Jeans needle recommended
