Free Motion Quilting Self Binding Placemats - Appleton

Want to learn how to free motion quilt on your domestic sewing machine? Join us in this 3 part class where you will make four 12 x 18 self-binding placemats and hone those free motion skills! We will finish your masterpieces turning, them into into placemats using the self-binding method.
Supplies
- 1 Yard Solid Fabric 45" wide solid cotton for placemat center light colors work best.
- 1 Yard 45" wide print cotton fabric for backing and binding.
- 1 Spool of thread that matches solid fabric can contrast slightly.
- 1 Spool of thread that matches backing/binding fabric
- Cotton/polyester quilt batting - 4 pieces cut 15x20
- Notebook, pen or pencil
- Sewing Machine, Extension table if you have one, bobbins, rotary cutter, thread scissors, pins or fabric clips, free motion quilting foot or darning foot, extra bobbins.
Homework - Cut four rectangles from the solid fabric that measure 15x20 cut Quilt Batting to 15x20
