Auntie’s Two Daytime Duffle with Jean / De Pere

In this class we will be making a compact quilted duffle bag/bowler type handbag. We will be constructing the whole cloth duffle.

Stop in and take a peek at the sample in the store. You will need a sewing machine in good working condition as well as the following supplies:

Supplies needed:

Pattern: $12

Outside center panel:  ½ yard (more is needed if using directional fabric)

Lining, Pockets: 1 ¼ yard

Outside side panels, handles and binding: 1 ¼ yard

1 yard double sided fusible foam (bag body and handles)

24 inch (or longer) double slide handbag zipper (not available at KK S&V)

Straight pins and/or clips

Marking pen, chalk or frixion pen

The longest straight edge ruler you have

*A walking foot which seemed to really help stitch through all the layers evenly but not necessary.
